5 Dinner Party Themes I love

You all know how I feel about dinner parties being a lost art! They are such a fun and beautiful way to gather friends and connect. It’s more intimate than a regular party. It gives people a chance to gather around food, connect, talk, and share a sense of belonging. Here are 5 themes I love…

Italian Dinner Party

This one is a no brainer for me. As someone who grew up in an Italian American household this is my go to. Italian food for me is a comfort food and something I find to be relaxing to make. And even if that’s not the case for you, Italian food can be simple if you stick to the basics.

Seasonal Inspired Dinner Party

One of my favorite things to do is to cook seasonally. Doing some research on what is in season is a great way to make the food stand out even more than normal. Think Spring Garden Party, Summer Cookout, Fall Harvest, Winter Solstice Party. The season can also inspire your tablescape!

Mediterranean Dinner Party

Think Mezze heavy with this one. If your group loves sharing a lot of small dishes I would highly recommend this theme. I also love the idea of decorating with food for this one. I’m picturing beautiful bowls with olives placed throughout the table with blue and gold accents.

Tequila Sunset Dinner Party

We’re starting with margaritas and guac for this one. I like a more casual vibe for this theme. Maybe a make your own tacos station and then guests can sit down and snack on chips and salsa while enjoying margaritas and the sunset.

South of France Dinner Party

We’re traveling to the South of France for this one. Flowers, soft and romantic lighting, baguettes and cheese. I love the idea of decorating the table with the food you will be serving. A few charcuteries placed in the middle of the table with floral on either side. Rosé will be flowing!
